Reiki is a Japanese technique for relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki was developed in Japan in 1922 by Mikao Usui and was brought to the West in 1937 by Hawayo Takata. Reiki is a technique that increases a person's supply of life energy. It allows muscles to relax and increases blood flow to treated areas, which quickens the healing process,
It is done through either light touch or slightly away from the client's body (non-touch or hovering), focusing on locations of the body starting from the head and shoulders, the abdomen and all the way down to the feet. A warm and soothing energy flows from the Reiki Practitioner's hands into the client's body and energy field, promoting relaxation, releasing tension, and promoting healing. Clients report help with stress and anxiety, insomnia, headaches, stomach issues, sprains and other conditions. Reiki also promotes psychological healing including release of anger, fear, worry, grief, sadness and depression and replaces them with self-worth, confidence, peace and tranquility. Our clients are often so relaxed that they fall asleep during a session.
At Sacred Dreams Wellness, we offer a beautiful, peaceful and meditative space which has flowing waters, relaxing music, and essential oils which allows for complete relaxation. During a Reiki session, we align the major Chakras and perform a Sacred Sage Ceremony often with the use of crystals and doTERRA essential oils. We perform a thorough client intake and review any pertinent details, as well as, give you tips to take home and use.
